The Christmas season is filled with promise. Parties, presents, gatherings, all offer the promise of more – more fun, more food, more meaning. But they can never meet our deepest desire: more of God. Long before Jesus came on the scene, God made a promise to restore what had been lost. The Wonder of Christmas isn’t just that in Jesus God became “God with us”, the wonder is that God became one of us.
